This service is different to a standard manuscript assessment that many other houses offer. Rather than determine whether your manuscript is publishable, this service can help you to develop whatever you’ve already got – whether that’s an idea, a set of notes, a draft, or a full manuscript.

Each instance of Manuscript Development that you pay for includes:

• a professional editorial report and suggestions tailored to your project (but no actual editing)
• up to four hours of meetings (in person, on the phone, via Skype or online chat)
• up to five additional phone call, instant message, twitter, or Skype meetings to discuss issues you might be having
• ad-hoc email contact as you need it, as sounding board and support: ‘the writer’s help desk’.

Manuscript development prices
Up to 50,000 words = $700
Up to 100,000 words = $1200
Over 100,000 words = $2200

For time you require (or perhaps just really want) over and above the packaged rates, we charge $65 per hour.
