We are committed to developing and nurturing new, young, and enthusiastic writers locally and internationally.
One of the primary reasons why we started Brascoe Publishing is to provide a means by which all people who write, for whatever reason, can be supported. This is why we take such great pains to provide feedback to all writers, even if we don't accept their work.
- Manuscript development, appraisal and feedback. This is different to manuscript assessment: we can help you develop your manuscript (or your draft or notes) and get it to the next stage; in contrast, assessment tends to determine just for a manuscript's publishability. You might want to get your manuscript (fiction, nonfiction, or academic) assessed to help you rewrite, to help you get over a particular hurdle, or just to see what another publisher might think of it. The service provides you with a one-on-one mentoring-type relationship, with that constructive criticism that many writers feel like they never get.
Each instance of Manuscript Development that you pay for includes up to one day of meetings (in person or on the phone). It also includes up to five additional phone call meetings to discuss issues that you might be having with the work.

How much does Manuscript Development cost?
- 1 to 100 pages, or up to 60,000 words = $250
- 101 to 200 pages, or up to 120,000 words = $450
- 200 + pages, or more than 120,00 words = $700

- Editing. As editors who are active with our local Society, we can provide full editing services for all prose works, regardless of length, regardless of genre. This includes academic and business editing. Prices vary according to the project; please contact us if you are interested in gaining a job estimate.
- Academic writing & editing. We are experienced in all types of academic writing and editing, from journal articles to theses, and for all types of people from undergrads to Heads of Schools. Please contact us for further information.
